Happy Thursday!
We had an awesome week exploring the Wild West! God gave us beautiful weather and safety and so many wonderful volunteers to make it such a fun week!
This coming week we will return, mostly, to a normal schedule. We are looking forward to our field trip to the zoo on Thursday! We aren't leaving until 9 am, so the students will still have PE since it is first period.
Here is what is going on next week:
Monday- PE, Latin, Music
Tuesday- Band, Art, Math Test, Memory Verse due
Wednesday- Music, Band, Latin, Math Test
Thursday- PE, Field Trip to the Zoo!
Friday- Assembly, Library, Band, Latin, Spelling Test
Here is what we are learning this week:
Science- We will continue our study of animals!
Math- On Monday our lesson will be on two-step equations. Tuesday there will be a test. Lessons the rest of the week will be on area of complex shapes and transformations.
Literature- We will continue to read Redwall!
Bible- The students will be studying Paul's letters to the NT churches. Their memory verse, Colossians 3:12-17, is due Tuesday.
Grammar- This week we will learn about predicate nouns and linking verbs.
Writing- The students' first draft of their persuasive essays are due on Tuesday. We will be peer editing them in class.
History- We will continue our study of Henry VIII and will also study Thomas More.
Geography- The students will start their final geography project on Friday. Details on that to come!
Spelling- The students will be assigned Lesson 29 this week. Homework will be due on Wednesday with a test on Friday.
