April 11-15

Happy Friday! 

We have started our achievement tests today. These tests will run through all next week, only in the mornings. This means the students will not have some of their normal subjects. The students will also not have Latin on Monday and Thursday due to scheduling conflicts. 

Here is what is going on next week: 

Monday- PE, Music

Tuesday- Band, Art

Wednesday- Music, Band, Latin, Bible Test 

Thursday- PE, Bible Memory Verse due

Friday- No School! 

Here is what we are learning this week: 

Science- We will continue our study of plants and animals. 

Math- No math this week due to achievement tests!

Literature- We will continue to read Redwall in the afternoon when we have time. 

Bible- We have finished our study of Paul's 3 missionary journeys and the students will have an essay test on Wednesday. They will need to be able to write about Paul's life, how God used him in the kingdom, and give at least 3 examples of different events that happened in his life. The memory verse, Ephesians 3:14-21 is due on Thursday. 

Grammar- This week we will review indirect objects. 

Writing- I am working on proofreading the students' research papers. As soon as I finish and pass the papers back, I'll give the due date for their final copies. 

History- We will finish up our study of Zwingli this coming week. 

Geography- The students will have a quiz on the Middle East after Easter break. 

Spelling- No spelling this week due to achievement tests!

Happy Wednesday!  We enjoyed our short week, with lots of special activities including a chocolate party, a pep rally, and celebrating a passover meal!  We are looking forward to one week of normal before we go into a short week again. February 14-18

Happy Monday!  We packed a lot of things into last week! Your kids performed their wonderful speech meet pieces. They also prepared awesome science experiments that we presented to 1st and 2nd grade! The students are working hard and I love seeing their creativity too.  We have a short week! The students have Friday and Monday off. We'll work hard and get lots done in this short week!  The school wide speech meet is on Tuesday, February 22nd. This event is closed to people outside of the building, but we will be live streaming and recording it. October 4-8

Happy Friday!  It has been a thoroughly enjoyable week with things returning mostly to normal! I'm working on getting grades fully updated this weekend, as I've been sorting through all the work coming in after quarantine. Thanks for your patience!  We are looking forward to a spirit week next week. Your child does not need to participate in the dress up days. If they do not, they should wear dress code clothing.
